A story shared….

I’m a bit hesitant to write my blog post at this moment, having just listened with heartbreak of the story of a life that ended before its time. There’s no words in this world that can bring understanding…

With gratitude, I thank Ms. Tetlock for sharing Ryan’s story with us, for sharing her story with us. Although, we cannot grasp the pain and loss of this tragedy, we do have the opportunity to understand the havoc that drugs and alcohol can wreak in the lives of people in our community. We can learn that those left behind are forever impacted by a loss that leaves one forever changed.

Students, please think deeply about the message you heard today. My hope is that a seed was planted in your consciousness today – a seed that will grow into a lifetime of keeping yourself safe.

Thank you, Kathy, for sharing your story with us.

To students and community members, Kathy’s story is here.
